Organised by the Department of Trade and Industry and InterForum, an organisation that helps British businesses trade electronically, the awards "recognise and reward those organisations that have demonstrated excellence through the use of the Internet."

The judges commended the LoveHoney website and praised its ease of use, powerful search features and ease of ordering.
